Europe Tour June 11th - July 5th 2011

Edinburgh - Seville - Leeds - Pisa - Venice - Munich - Prague - Berlin - Edinburgh
And so it came to pass, two weeks later and alot of money down (already) me and my companions Christopher Macinnes, Rebecca Jane Hanson and of course Francesca Garvey are ready for our travels to distant lands. First stop Seville (or Sevilla, depending on where your from) with Garvo, we jammily arrive the week of the Flamenco festival  in time to meet up with our old aquantences Mar and Alberto Felices, so no doubt it will be as much of a riot as Barcelona. Looking forward to seeing the Alcazares and the Fábrica de Tabacos again, eating tapas and hopefully getting a few visits in to Cordoba or Cadiz, what tourists we are. So armed with castanets and pastey skin we leave on the 13th of June for Espana. Returning a week later on the 20th on the blessed turf of Leeds for 2 days, just in time for mothers birthday may I add. Nice. Me and Christoph head for Pisa were we will be doing a short inter-rail tour of Italy, Germany and the Czech Republic. Going straight to Venice from Pisa because apparently Pisa is gash. Here we will meet up with Rebecca who will have travelled from Amsterdam in a drug induced sex rage to see the Venice Bienalle (further info at artinfo.com) that I have heard is pretty good from a few reliable sources. On a side note it will be interesting how Carla Black does representing Scotland this year. Not as well as everyone makes out I predict, but pessimism aside we head across Alps to Munich which im ashamed to admit I dont know much about apart from they do good beer. From Germany to Prague, a former Communist state that I am intrigued to see, hopefully they will have some exciting neo-gothic relics to see. Plus its hopefully dirt cheap as it isnt the euro (apparently, should have really realised this sooner, oops). From here our final stop back in good old Deutschland and Berlin, another cheap one, which we will definitely be relying on by this stage of the endeavor. Which of course has a great background in the visual as well as the obvious historical interest and I will finally get to see the Holocaust Memorial, and maybe take some of my own pictures...So overall I am quietly enthusiastic about the whole journey, hoping not to get mugged raped or murdered in anyway but these are of course my only concerns...to be continued...
